Why is the US military planning on how to crush civil protest in regards to the current economic crisis?

(There will be, at the end of the day, no where near enough military resources to put down the breadth and scope of protest against what has been done to We the People, no matter how many troops are brought to bear.
If this government really believes that military suppression is the answer, they have not really thought through the consequences of such actions to their ultimate end. - WRH)
