GOP plan to make the hungry in America hungrier (VIDEO)

Plenty of money in America for wars but no money for 47  million hungry Americans (VIDEO)

The government is gearing up for a potential shutdown next month as Republicans in Congress threaten to tie raising the debt ceiling to defunding Obamacare, which would force the government to default on its loans and could hold up military paychecks and Social Security payments.

While Congress debates a budget, House Republicans are also working on a bill that would cut $40 billion from food stamp programs over the next decade, causing 3.8 million people to lose Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits next year.

RT's Meghan Lopez asks Bich Ha Pham from the Federation of Protestant Welfare Agencies how this bill would hurt the hungry in this country.
