Militants behind Kenya mall attack may be American (VIDEO)
The hostage situation at a mall in Nairobi, Kenya extends to a third day in a row, as government forces squared off against Al-Shabab militants.
The gunfight started Saturday afternoon at the Westgate Shopping Mall, where a group of 10 to 15 militants entered through two entrances and began firing on shoppers.
The Kenyan Red Cross reports at least 62 people have been killed, and 175 others have been injured, including five Americans. Three of the militants are potentially American citizens, according to the Al-Shabab Web site.
RT's Meghan Lopez speaks with Hani Almadhoun, a writer for HuffingtonPost.com, about Al-Shabab and the threat they pose in East Africa and the US.
