Congressman whines about $170K salary (VIDEO)

Georgia's Republican Congressional representative, Phil Gingrey, recently complained in a closed-door meeting about his paltry salary of $172,000 a year.

This happened just after new Census Bureau data revealed the average American household has a median annual income of just over $51,000 a year.

It's a clear demonstration of how out of touch Congress is when it comes to empathizing with their constituents. The Resident (aka Lori Harfenist) discusses.
