PETA kills 90 percent of sheltered animals (VIDEO)
The animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals doesn't shy away from controversy. The group also known as PETA has had commercial ads banned from television for being to "racy."
The mission of the organization is to focus "its attention on the four areas in which the largest numbers of animals suffer the most intensely for the longest periods of time," but according to a report put out by the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services PETA killed 90 percent of pets under its care.
PETA's spokesperson Bruce Wieland joins us to explain why this is happening.
