The Obama administration has declared that it is not planning to abandon plans for an anti-missile shield in Poland, however, the future of the shield lies with an agreement with Russia and verification of the system's efficiency.
James Wolfe, spokesperson for the American embassy in Warsaw, admitted that the new administration's stance on the issue is not the same as the Bush administration's.
"The project's timeframe has not changed in relation to what was been arranged during the meeting between Condoleeza Rice and Radosław Sikorski. But president Obama has ordered verification of efficiency of rocket defense technology," said Wolfe.
