Honolulu seeking to ban 'BO' on buses

~

The Honolulu City Council is considering a bill that would impose up to a $500 fine and/or up to six months in jail for public transit passengers convicted of being too smelly.

**************************

What are they going to do. Hire "Smell" police? Would using too much perfume or cologne also qualify? How could they ever prosecute this? Would Indians who eat curry in their meals and often smell of curry be arrested?

I also had a couple of Italian friends who loved to eat raw garlick as they believed it was very healthy. Healthy, if you don't ride Honolulu buses.

Well, there goes some of the European tourist business to Hawaii. Having been in the tour business I have found that many Europeans do not use deodorant and often smell nasty. Guess they won't be able to ride public buses in Honolulu.

If they still stink while they are in jail, do they get time added on? Do they get time off for "good smell"?
