Dick Cheney has finally done enough major television talk shows that he is suddenly considered a viable candidate for president in 2012.
He qualifies as a “Republican’s Republican” with his hawkish attitudes, his bully complex, and his total disdain for an individual’s Constitutional right to privacy.
Cheney could glide through the primaries, especially if he could convince a defeated Sarah Palin to run on the ticket with him.
That would get Dick a connection to the Right-Wing and conservative female base voters.
Dick and Sarah would be locked and loaded all through the campaign, and after running on national security and the Second Amendment, victorious they could march up Capitol Hill and into the White House.
And then suddenly, it all comes crashing down.
Suddenly you remember that Dick Cheney is for same-sex marriage. Dick Cheney thinks that state governments should have the right to decide if they want to permit gay marriages in their state, maybe even right next door.
Ouch! That hurts! Dick Cheney, suddenly comes off as a “same-sex marriage Liberal.”
It’s really a shame too, because the same-sex marriage issue would most likely offend the devout Sarah Palin and put her in an impossible situation.
She could never stand campaigning with someone who supports same-sex fornication. And where Sarah goes, goes the Far Right Republican base.
Dick Cheney and Sarah Palin in 2012 would have been the dream ticket, too bad about that one little thing, otherwise, they would have had a hell of run.
