This e-mail is from a friend in Montevideo, Uruguay who worked on instituting this program:
I work for the agency which organized, planned and manages the Plan Ceibal (AGESIC), the agency which will digitilize all of the government including sited, documents, etc.
The experience has been absolutely great, it is amazing to see kids who live in the middle of nowhere and had absolutely no chances of accessing the internet, and thanks to the XO they've discovered a new world of possibilities.

There's a new video from 2009, I will try to get it and send it to you.
Now public high school and vocational schools will also have XO computers for the students and professors.
This is something all Uruguayans feel very proud of but I specially feel it since I work on the inside of this project.
Many 1st world country are looking up to us because of Plan Ceibal and are asking us to share with them our experience and expertise.
