Phone call comes in to the Pentagon.
The general answers and learns that some military personnel had been shot and killed at a large military base in Texas and it looks like there are about five shooters and they seem to be unhappy service personnel to be deployed to Iraq within a week.
The general asks, “What are the names of the dead?”
The answer is, “Private Jones, Sergeant Smith, Private McDonald, Corporal Anderson and Major Mohamed.”
The Pentagon general, with a wink, orders his secretary to pull the file on Major Mohamed. He learns that the Major is a doctor and an American-born Muslim with a perfect record.
The general immediately orders his secretary, “Put the pre-arranged negative Muslim data on Major Mohamed’s personnel file, as we may need a patsy on this one.”
He adds, “We’ll also have to “leak” negative press to make it look like the Major was a walking time bomb and had visited terrorist web sites. No matter how clean he was, we have to make him look like Osama bin Laden.”
He phones his CIA contact and tells him to send an agent to the Texas base dressed as a local police and to have that agent, at the right moment, announce that he shot and killed the “shooter”, Major Mohamed.
The general then contacts the secret arm of the MPs at the Texas fort and tells him to get a group of agents to capture and hide the five mutinous soldiers who actually did the shootings.
The general ends, “We can’t have the military learn of this mutiny and then there will be no end in these kind of incidents and the negative publicity on the Army.”
As the general watches the planted story unfold on CNN, he get another phone call to advise him that Major Mohamed had not died after all and is wounded at the military base hospital.
The general tells his agent at the base, “We can’t have him talking, You know what to do. Just wait a day or two. Not longer.”
