Mercury poisoning still felt in Canada (VIDEO)
Delegates from 140 countries are expected to sign a United Nations treaty in Japan, aimed at curbing the use of mercury. It's being called the Minimata convention, in honor of a city that saw Japan's worst chemical poisoning.
There was a similar incident in Canada, more than 40 years ago. Al Jazeera's Daniel Lak reports.
