Egypt bracing for new protests (VIDEO)

Egypt's military — the very one trying to quell protests—is now calling for massive demonstrations on Friday to confront what it described as Islamist violence.

Meanwhile, more critics are saying that seeds from Morsi's ouster were planted as soon as the constitutional convention was over, deferring to Islamic law on issues like women's rights.

Also out today, officials say the Obama administration will tell lawmakers it will not declare Egypt's government overthrow a coup.

This move will continue to allow the US to provide $1.5 billion in annual military and economic aid to the country.

Sahar Aziz, Associate Law Professor at Texas Wesleyan University, joins us for more about the developments in Egypt.
