Video of cops teargassing Brazilians angered by cost of sporting events (VIDEO)

Protesters clashed with police in the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro ahead of a Confederations Cup football match between Mexico and Italy.

About 300 people tried to make their way towards the Maracana stadium to protest against the high cost of staging the tournament, the 2014 World Cup and other upcoming sporting events in Brazil, including the 2016 Olympic Games.Riot police used tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse them.
