US assassination drones (VIDEO)

A US drone strike killed 9 people and wounded three in northwest Pakistan late on Friday.

It was the first such attack since the swearing-in of Nawaz Sharif as the country's new prime minister this week.

In his inaugural address to parliament, Sharif called for an immediate end to US drone strikes on his country's soil which is a breach of Pakistan's sovereignty.

Reacting to the attack, Pakistan summoned the US envoy and lodged a protest.
