Connecticut passes first ever GMO labeling legislation (VIDEO)
In Connecticut, consumers are now closer to knowing exactly what is in their food.
The state legislature passed a bill requiring special labeling on foods that have been genetically modified materials.
The bill passed with a 134 to 3 vote and now awaits the governor's signature.
Liz Reitzig, co-founder of Farm Food Freedom Coalition, joins us to explain the details of this legislation and what this means for the future of GMO labeling in the US.
