Mitt Romney, who is unemployed, plans on bulldozing his 3,009-square-foot home in California in order to replace it with an 11,062-square-foot mansion.
The San Diego Union-Tribune reports that Romney has filed an application for the construction on the plot of land overlooking the Pacific Ocean in La Jolla.
The Republican presidential hopeful bought the home for $12 million three years ago.

I don't care how much money he has, this is obscene, given his aspirations to lead the rest of us through hard economic times. The filthy rich, with the exception of Warren Buffet, who incidentally still lives in his modest 2500 sq foot home which he and his wife bought long ago, just don't get it.
It's also upsetting that Nancy Pelosi, who has been telling us to tighten our belts, has increased her net worth by about $13 milllon in 2 years to about $43 milllion. She made over $5 million a year being a congresswoman?
