Share As the nation marks the 47th anniversary of Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream” speech, Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin have taken to the steps of the Lincoln Memorial to, as they put it, restore our nation’s honor.
The Washington Post reports that “an overwhelmingly white crowd of tens of thousands” turned out for the event, which Beck has described as “a moment that you’ll never be able to paint people as haters, racists, none of it.
This is a moment, quite honestly, that I think we reclaim the civil rights movement. It has been so distorted and so turned upside down. It is an abomination.”
