Israel army 'to get legal advice during operations'


Israel's top general has ordered the military to seek legal advice while in the heat of battle and not just during the planning stages, the Haaretz newspaper reported on Wednesday.

Military Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Gabi Ashkenazi issued the order despite opposition from several commanders, the paper said.

Mike Stivic: Do you always have to label people? Why can't you just get a lawyer. Why does it have to be a Jewish lawyer?

Archie: Because if I'm going to sue an "A-rab," I want a guy that's full o' hate!
