NATO countries led by the US, Britain, and France are committing terrible war crimes in the Libyan city of Sirte.

In their frenzied drive to crush all remaining resistance in the North African state, NATO and its proxy militia forces aligned with the National Transitional Council are unleashing indiscriminate military force, killing civilians and destroying buildings and infrastructure throughout the urban centre.

Numerous civilian refugees who have managed to escape the siege have reported seeing schools, hospitals, homes, and other civilian buildings destroyed by NATO bombs.

Despite these sky-high profits, House Republicans voted unanimously last month to preserve the billions in subsidies that oil companies receive from the federal government every year. Gas prices in many parts of the country are currently higher than $4 per gallon.

Donald Trump said Sunday that as president, he would not have acted to protect civilians in Libya until they agreed to write a big check to the U.S.

“Why aren’t they paying us?” Trump asked CNN’s Candy Crowley. “When they said that you should have said, we’ll go in. We want $5 billion. We have already spent $1.5 billion on fighting Gaddafi. We want $5 billion right now and we’ll go in. You know what? That’s peanuts to them. They’d give you a check in two seconds.”

The billionaire also said he was nostalgic for a time when the U.S. could claim the resources of defeated nations.

“In the old days when you have a war and you win, that nation is yours,” he said. “Either I go in and take the oil or I don’t go in at all.”

“Just take their oil?” Crowley asked.

Less than a year after spill disaster, BP wants to resume drilling in Gulf Coast

The paper reported that BP has applied to resume drilling in July at 10 established points, in exchange for adhering to stricter safety practices and closer supervision.

Some outlets are reporting that a deal has already been reached, but government officials quickly shot the rumor down.

"We'll be doubling our size if all of our plans go through and if we receive the money from Congress in 2011 and then again in 2012," James Jeffrey, the US ambassador in Iraq, said.

Will the Washington White House move to Iraq?

Security firms like Blackwater get about $300,000 per year per man and they pay their mercenaries about $100,000 to $150,000 each. In one year, we the US taxpayers, will pay One-and-a-half BILLION dollars just for security guards in the US Embassy in Iraq.

If these were US Marines guarding the embassy, like they always did, we would only pay eleven million dollars.

“In the old days when you had wars, you win, right?” Trump began. “You win. To the victor belonged the spoils. So when we go to Iraq, we spend $1.4 trillion so far and thousands of lives are lost, right? … And we’re going to leave and 15 minutes after we leave, Iran is going to go into Iraq.”

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) joked Wednesday night that the Fox News Channel can’t seem to reconcile their dislike for President Barack Obama with their support for his military intervention in Libya.

“There’s a big debate going on over at Fox News,” Paul said at the Congressional Correspondents Dinner. “It’s really messed up, I mean they don’t know what to do. They just really can’t decide over at Fox News what they love more, bombing the Middle East or bashing the president.”
