Canadian spy agency sued for spying on Canadians (VIDEO)
One of Canada's top spy agencies, the Communications Security Establishment Canada, is facing a lawsuit for violating privacy rights of Canadian citizens.
The lawsuit was filed by the British Columbia Civil Liberties Association and Openmedia.ca.
The two organizations argue that the broad and unchecked surveillance of citizens directly violates the country's constitution.
RT's Meghan Lopez talks with Steve Anderson, the executive director at Openmedia.ca, about how the lawsuit came about.
