UN to hire mercenaries for peace missions (VIDEO)

Outsourcing is taking place in the US' armed forces - the outsourcing of duties that used to be performed by members of the military - to private defense contractors, like ones formerly known as Blackwater.

But relying on private contractors may not be exclusive to the United States - the United Nations may get in the game, too - today the UN is holding a special panel talks to discuss using private contractors in peace and humanitarian mission. RT's Anastasia Churkina reports.
