To stay or to go? That's the question center stage of British politics, as the pros and cons of EU membership are thrashed out.

A draft bill on an in-out referendum, recently issued by the ruling Conservative party, says it must be held before the end of 2017.

It's been hailed as paving a clear route towards change, and opinion polls suggest an exit from the EU is the most likely route.
