NYC Mayor Bloomberg's advice to students: Become plumbers (VIDEO)







During a recent installment of his weekly radio show, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg shared some peculiar words for listeners hoping for career advice from the billionaire Big Apple bigwig.

It's no secret that jobs are hard to come by nowadays, and the amount of debt brought on by unpaid college loans now surpasses what Americans owe on their credit cards. So is furthering one's education that best route to take? Bloomberg doesn't quite think so.

He told listeners to considering becoming plumbers or to consider other vocational jobs in lieu or earning a college degree. RT's Meghan Lopez breaks down Bloomberg's suggestion and offers some insight of her own
