How To Uninstall Internet Explorer 9 Beta

~

~

I made the stupid mistake (as opposed to a "snart mistake") and 'upgraded' from Internet Explorer 8 to 9 Beta.

I could not make my e-mail work and could not even post on Blogger.

Luckily, a friend (Sunny) found the following instructions, and now I am back with IE8!

Follow the below mentioned steps to uninstall Internet Explorer 9 Beta from your PC and revert to Internet Explorer 8 browser, which is still in your computer.

Just a while ago, Microsoft released Internet Explorer 9 Beta for Windows 7 and Vista. Although this Beta build is very stable and comes with lots of features, most of end users want to uninstall it as it’s still a beta build.

If you are tired of Internet Explorer 9 and now want to uninstall it, here is how to do it:

1. Open Programs and features window. To open it, type appwiz.cpl in Start menu search area and then hit enter.

2. In the left pane, click View installed updates option to see list of installed updates. Here locate the entry named Windows Internet Explorer 9.

3. Right-click on the entry and select uninstall to remove Internet Explorer 9 from your PC and revert to Internet Explorer 8, which is already there.

I gave up that piece of crap years ago. Mozilla, or Chrome, runs circles around it. Just saying.

MY IE8 was having some problems so I decided to "upgrade" to 9. What a mistake. Why does Microsof put out an unfinished product? Finally, Sunny found the above removal info nd eventually I learned how to fix IE8 and it's working fine now.
