Pope Benedict XVI yesterday encouraged Catholics to pray for their pedohile and gay boy-raping priests.
"During the end of the Year for Priests, pray specifically for priests and seminarists. Encourage them and sustain them," the pope told 10 000 faithful gathered in St Peter's Square at the Vatican. (Even if they do rape little boys and have sex with other "celibate" priests.)
About 10 000 priests from all over the world are "flocking" to the Vatican to participate in the three-day celebrations. (Wild sex parties? Little boys?)
Since late last year, the Catholic Church has been embroiled in thousands of sex abuse scandals across Europe and the US, prompting harsh criticism of the Vatican's protecting, moving and hiding of boy-raping priests.
"Paedophilia is a sin that takes place in any social class," Brazilian Bishop Diamantino Carvalho said, defending the thousands of priests that raped thousands of little boys.He also said that it was wrong to tie paedophilia to priests as a group.
The innocent people pointing fingers at the boy-raping Catrholic Church priests are wrong.
Last week, prosecutors said they were "probing" Germany's top archbishop on suspicion of allowing a priest to be hired in his diocese although he was aware he molested at leats one boy in the 1960s.
