Daniel Ellsberg, who gained fame when he leaked the Pentagon Papers in 1971 in hopes of ending the Vietnam War, told MSNBC's Dylan Ratigan on Friday that he not only sees a parallel between himself and the person who recently leaked a video of an assault by US forces on Iraqi civilians but also fears for the safety of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange, who published the video.
Army specialist Bradley Manning was recently arrested in the case, and according to reporter Philip Shenon, the Pentagon is "desperately" seeking Wikileaks founder Julian Assange in hopes of preventing further damaging revelations.

Dear Chimp,
I absolutely love your blog. Did you know that human beings (like me) share 98% of your DNA? I wonder which 98% that would be. You may be right about Julian Assange's impending suicide. Unless they sic the Mossad on him. They are a really entrepreneurial bunch and refuse to share their excellent contact poisons with their American cousins (who they believe only share 70% of the same DNA). I really long for the good old days they just sent a few thugs to beat someone up and throw him off a bridge or out a high window. I write about this in my recent memoir THE MOST REVOLUTIONARY ACT: MEMOIR OF AN AMERICAN REFUGEE (currently living in exile in New Zealand).
Many people have been suicided by the government. The DC Madam is the latest that comes to mind.
