To understand societal trends and where America is going, you don’t necessarily need to conduct a census. All one may have to do is look at how people use their GPS devices.
TeleNav, one of the country’s largest providers of location-based services, has done just that in a report released Wednesday morning.
So where do people want to go?
During December of last year (the first month for which TeleNav has detailed, word-specific data), Walmart was the number one business destination in the United States for navigation users.
Starbucks came in a close second to Walmart.
And what do over-caffeinated consumers look for after a hard day of shopping? Sustenance, of course.
The most popular food item searched for during the same month turns out to be pizza.
