It's that simple: With no Bush income tax cuts, no unfunded Medicare drug benefit, and no off-budget Iraq and Afghanistan wars, the U.S. balance sheet would have been in fine shape for his successor. Then government investment needed to rescue the economy from the doldrums wouldn't have seemed so alarming.

Most of Newt Gingrich's Over One Million Twitter Followers Are Fake

Gingrich complained yesterday that the press is ignoring his prodigious Twitter audience: "I have six times as many Twitter followers as all the other candidates combined, but it didn't count because if it counted I'd still be a candidate; since I can't be a candidate that can't count." Which is true!

Gingrich currently boasts 1,325,842 followers, whereas competitors Mitt Romney and Michele Bachmann have yet to crack 100,000.

But if Newt is winning the Twitter primary, it's because of voter fraud. A former staffer tells us that his campaign hired a firm to boost his follower count, in part by creating fake accounts en masse.

The two-decade training program abruptly ended, however, after the watchdog website Truthout published a report on the use of passages from St. Augustine, Jesus and Wernher Von Braun including a PowerPoint presentation on St. Augustine’s “Christian Just War Theory,” as well as examples of biblical teachings that discuss the “righteous way” to conduct war.

The now-withdrawn curriculum included quotes from Von Braun, regarded as the father of the U.S. space program. However, prior to that, he was a member of the Nazi Party and an SS officer during World War II who “used Jews imprisoned in concentration camps, captured French anti-Nazi partisans, civilians, and others to help build the V-2, a weapon responsible for the death of thousands of British civilians,” said Truthout.

Ukraine to save bears from forced vodka drinking

Ukraine's Environment Minister Mykola Zlochevsky vowed on Wednesday to free all bears kept in restaurants for entertainment purposes and often forced to drink alcohol, Interfax news agency reported on Wednesday.

Captured and tamed bears were often used for entertainment in the Russian Empire, which included Ukraine, turning the animal into a national symbol.

Haiti hurried on Wednesday to prepare for incoming Tropical Storm Emily, urging evacuations ahead of the roiling system that could bring flash floods to the impoverished nation still struggling to recover from a devastating earthquake.

A tropical storm warning was in effect for Haiti as well as the neighboring island of Hispaniola, the Dominican Republic, and for the US territory of Puerto Rico, the US National Hurricane Center said.

To protect itself from predators, the creature chews the roots and bark of Acokanthera 'poison arrow trees' to extract the poison ouabain.

It makes their tracing jobs so much easier.

In the third experiment, the researchers used the technology to predict personal interests and identify students, including some social security numbers, with only a photo of their face to start.

Social security numbers, Acquisti pointed out in 2009, are a security flaw as they can be predicted if you know the person’s hometown and date of birth.

This new technology uses that information and in many cases can determine a person’s social security number.

In this experiment, the researchers looked at Carnegie Mellon University students and those who had a date of birth and hometown displayed on their social media account page.
