Last week, Florida Gov. Rick Scott (R) — buoyed by legislators who received hundreds of thousands of dollars of special interest cash — signed into law legislation that would dramatically expand access to school vouchers, which funnel taxpayer dollars into private schools.

Scott is doing this despite proposing nearly $3 billion in cuts to public education, meaning that he is essentially transfering money from public education to private education.

On the same day that Scott signed into law his latest attack on public education, Gus Garcia-Roberts of the Miami New Times published a story looking at the case of InterAmerican Christian Academy, a private school located in Doral, Florida. Glenn Beck Claims'Radicals Like Al Gore Are Organizing College Kids To 'Kill The Parents'

Today, lame-duck Fox News host Glenn Beck equated the 10,000 youth climate activists who participated in the Power Shift conference this weekend with dangerous “radicals” who want to kill their parents.

At Power Shift, climate leaders Van Jones and Al Gore exhorted the mostly college-age participants to engage with the older generations by asking moral questions about American values, just as young people did during the Jim Crow era.

Beck falsely claimed the advice was to “not to listen to your parents!” Continuing further, Beck said these are “the same radicals” who talked about “kill[ing] the parents”

Is Glenn Beck Being Fired By Fox News As Viewership And Sponsors Drop By One-Third?

Conservative conspiracy host Glenn Beck announced plans Wednesday to "transition off" his Fox News program "later this year."

Moments after the announcement, Beck's website The Blaze went offline.

Beck's viewership had been declining in recent months, even as his stable of regular corporate sponsors shrank also.

The New York Times story one month ago reported that Fox News was looking to get rid of Beck partially because his audience had declined over one-third in just a year's time.
