Drone Pilots Get High-Ranked Medals. (VIDEO)








"Outgoing Defense Secretary Leon Panetta announced this week a new medal for desk-bound warriors who control killer robots responsible for the deaths of thousands in South Asia, North Africa and the Middle East.

The Distinguished Warfare Medal will recognize drone pilots for their "extraordinary achievements that directly impact on combat operations, but do not involve acts of valor or physical risks that combat entails."*

Remote pilots of unmanned drones are going to receive medals, specifically Distinguished Warfare Medals. What's more, they will outrank the Purple Heart- a medal for soldiers shot or wounded on the battlefield. Is this really deserved? Cenk Uygur breaks it down.





The suffering horrible struggles of Drone pilots in wartime, serving their country on the ground, in an air-conditioned room, sitting in comfortable chairs at their computers, drinking coffe and eating donuts. Give them a medal, already!
