Student expelled for finding flaws in college security system. (VIDEO)
A Canadian college student has been expelled for exposing security flaws in the school's computer system that he found while working on a mobile app which allows students to access their college accounts on their phones.
The flaws would have enabled students to access sensitive information like addresses, class schedules and Social Security numbers.
The student wanted to draw attention to the flaws but the president of the software company called what he did a form of cyberattack and the college expelled the student.
Michael Gregg of the Superior Solutions joins us to discuss this case.
