First responders struggle to prove they were at Ground Zero. (VIDEO)
September 11, 2001 was one of the worst moments in US history, but the tragic event brought out the best in some New Yorkers.
Many went down to ground zero and volunteered their time and efforts to rescue those trapped under the rubble of the Twin Towers, but now many of those individuals have had medical issues and are struggling to pay their debts.
In order to access financial help set aside by Congress for medical bills, Congress is asking the volunteers to prove they were there. Jaime Hazan, a 9/11 volunteer first responder, was there and expresses what he feels about the new requirements for medical aid.
