"The Matrix" Is Not Science Fiction - We Live In The Matrix

As he first awakens, breaks through the outer covering of the pod, and notices the plugs attached to him, the director uses a close up shot and focuses directly on him, at just about eye level. This gives the viewer a keen perspective of his emotions of confusion and fear upon reaching consciousness in such a frightening environment. It is imperative that this shot comes first so that Neo’s initial feelings can be most accurately conveyed before the scene can continue, and only a close up will allow such focus. Many years ago, I saw the first version of THE MATRIX movie.

The basic premise is that from birth to death our bodies are held and fed in tanks and our lives are computer programs, none of it "real".

Ever since, The Matrix idea has stuck to my brain and more and more today I see all humanity living in this Matrix.

The real premise is that, yes we live our lives out in our bodies but we are programmed from birth to believe certain "facts" that drive our lives.

It may not be computer software that creates a picture of our lives but it is a programming of our brains that creates this picture.

We are programmed, not only from birth to death, but also by our parents and their parents and thus all of society.

We are programmed by "facts": History facts. Morality facts. Religion facts. Sexual facts. Science facts. Love facts. Etc.

I had a strange though the other day about "science facts". We "know" there is a moon rotating way up there around our planet earth. We "know" our planet rotates around the Sun.

But, what if the moon is just a large lamp a few hundred miles above the earth that is being manipulated so it rotates and waxes and wanes.

What about if the Sun is just a heat lamp and the cold a large "air conditioner".

This is all so possible, since we can provide this type of "moon", "sun" and "A/C" to an ant colony living in our basement and if they could think, they would believe the light and heat and coolness in that basement was all there was. You can carry this belief down to lower life, to amoebas and even lower.

In that respect, what about if we are the amoebas and there is larger and larger life "above" us.

All of these premises have been the subject of many science fiction stories. But what about if they are really science "facts"?
