The Obama administration is reportedly quickly moving on plans to nationalize private 401k and IRA retirement accounts, and replace them with government sponsored annuities(aka Treasury bonds that the Treasury currently can’t sell to anyone but the Fed).

We already HAVE a National Retirement System and it's called Social Security. But the government looted your Social Security cash to balance its budget, cannot pay it back, and now wants you to turn in your IRAs and 401K accounts to them in, trusting the government not to simply loot that cash as well to balance the books.
