It has been announced that the Federal Aviation Administration is opening up America's sky to unmanned drones. By 2020 it is expected that approximately 30,000 of the aircraft will be used for surveillance on American citizens, but what if with a thousand dollars' worth of hardware and software anyone can hack the remote-controlled flying machines? A team of researchers from UT Austin have found a way to do so and demonstrated their findings to the Department of Homeland Security and the results were startling.
