Russia's Krasnodar region is coming to terms with the sheer scale of the devastation inflicted after flash floods struck overnight on Friday. Many people woke up to a nightmare, with their loved ones simply washed away into the darkness.
At least 171 people died in the deluge. Thousands of houses were swamped, affecting over twelve thousand residents.
