IN TIMES OF WAR: A PRAYER FOR PEACE (VIDEO)

If video says "This video has been removed by the user.", PLEASE CLICK "In Times of War" highlighted below.

So here is the deal. Next week I am taking Claire to the World Choir Games in Cincinnati. She has meetings with choir directors from around the world who for some really strange reason are far more enthusiastic about her pro-peace compositions than their American counterparts.

"Yes, it's really good, but, but, but, ... I don't have good enough singers. Yeah, that's it. My singers can't handle this. And we are on a tight budget, and we're about to go vacation. And we have to get ready to sing patriotic songs as our kids head off to be killed. Maybe next century we could look at this?" -- Typical American choir conductor

So, ahead of the trip I decided to add Claire's latest work, "In Times of War" to the WRH screening room page. The first thing I noticed is that the view count was at 3400 EXACTLY. Now in these times of fiscal chicanery everyone knows never to trust numbers that end in zero, and frankly I had wondered why this video was not seeing the same "popularity" Claire's other works have.

And when I went to test the embed code on the screening room page, I found out why!

When looking at the video through an embed code, instead of using the actual YouTube page, you get the message "This video has been removed by the user." Of course, this is nonsense! I am the user! I have not removed this video, and indeed in the above screen capture it is playing on the YouTube page side by side with the embed code that says the video has been removed!

This is a very clever form of censorship. The original user still sees his video on the YouTube page and may be unaware that people looking at an embedded version of the video are getting bogus messages that the video has been removed (or blocked for copyright or whatever!)

YouTube, you are BUSTED!

UPDATE: The moment I posted this article the embed codes switched back on, but the view count is still stuck at 3400.

UPDATE 2: The view count at "In Times of War" has been increased by just two views, while emails continue to pour in from people who claim to have watched the movie multiple times without seeing the counter increment.
