The Canadian government must either bar Bush at the border because of his alleged involvement in torture and other war crimes and crimes against humanity, or order his arrest when he enters Canada both to ensure he is prosecuted here or elsewhere, and to prevent him from returning to safe haven from prosecution in the United States.
Tyndale University president Gary Nelson expects not all of the students and faculty at the Toronto college and seminary will be thrilled by the prospect of George W. Bush making a promotional appearance for the school.
The former U.S. president has a stopover in Toronto next week that will include a Sept. 20 breakfast gathering on behalf of Tyndale for an invited audience of 150 at the Hilton Toronto Hotel.
