Federal Reserve Program to “Monitor Conversations” On facebook, Twitter, Etc. Is Intimidation Tactic Against Critics

~

As Zero Hedge explains, the Federal Reserve, “Is requesting the creation of a “Social Listening Platform” whose function is to “gather data from various social media outlets and news sources.”

It will “monitor billions of conversations and generate text analytics based on predefined criteria.” The Fed’s desired product should be able to “determine the sentiment [ED:LOL] of a speaker or writer with respect to some topic or document”…

“The solution must be able to gather data from the primary social media platforms – Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, Forums and YouTube. It should also be able to aggregate data from various media outlets such as: CNN, WSJ, Factiva etc.”

Fuck em. I make no bones regards my political leanings. They don't have to analyze shit about me. And anyway, the moment you pick up a phone, boot your computer, go to the grocery store...your ass is being monitored by the government. This has been going on a long time.

You're right JJ. The bigger problem is that the Federal Reserve is a private bank, not part of the US Governmnet.

Doesn't surprise me though. This is the kind of society that we are headed to. I'll bet if you stopped John Doe on the street and asked what he thought of this idea, he'd say he doesn't give a patooky's ass.
