A federal agency is concerned that some consumers may still have recalled bison meat in their freezers.

A Colorado company is recalling about 66,000 pounds of ground and tenderized steak bison meat that may be contaminated with a potentially deadly strain of E. coli, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service.

First, we save these legends of Americana from extinction and now we eat them!! Actually, I used to go to Space Farm Zoo in New Jersey in the 60s and they served their own bison burgers! They were pretty good! No, it did not taste like chicken!

Hey, that's called free enterprise. Most of the commercial bison in this country are owned by Ted Turner. Not sure what that has to do with anything, but I don't get to address this subject that often. Thank you for the opportunity.

By the way...they don't smell so good...furry or no.

Man has eaten or eats just about anything that's alive, including "man". In some Asian countries cats and dogs are not safe. Considering African and Latin countries, here's a partial list of what some humans eat every day, besides beef and chicken:

Goat
Deer
Alligator
Ostrich
Rattlesnake
Snails
Frogs
bison
lion
Bear
Porcupine
Grouse
Caribou
Reindeer
Horse
Kangaroo
Eel
River rat
Squirrel
Barnacles
Beaver
Elk
Moose
Emu
Conch
Fox
Gazelle
Zebra
Tprtoise
Caviar
Wild Boar
Ox Tail
Ostrich
Locust
Beetles
Elephant
Hippo
Shark
Monitor lizard
Nutria
Parrot

Which brings up the point that Ted Turner is currently working on cornering the market on everyone of these edibles. As usual, he's doing it on the sly. Oh, forgot...with the exception of moose...you know who has that market sewed up.
