BP Chief: I’m ‘too busy’ to testify to the Senate about the Lockerbie bomber’s release

Pan Am Flight 103 was the third daily scheduled London Heathrow Airport to New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport. On Wednesday 21 December 1988, the Boeing 747 was destroyed by a bomb, killing all 243 passengers and 16 crew members.

On Thursday, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee will be holding a hearing on the release of Lockerbie airliner bomb Abdelbaset al-Megrahi, and the role that BP may have played.

Today, however, ousted BP CEO Tony Hayward told reporters that he wouldn’t be attending the hearing because he’s “too busy”.
