WATCH: Chris Cuomo Is PISSED After BuzzFeed Flub; “Mueller didn’t Do The Media Any Favors Tonight”

There is much weeping and gnashing of teeth in the media following the stunning implosion of a BuzzFeed story that was set up to provide the grounds for the upcoming impeachment of President Trump.

 

In the piece that was written by the already discredited Jason Leopold, it was claimed that the Democrats’ star witness against Trump in his former attorney turned rat Michael Cohen had been ordered to lie to Congress on the Trump Tower Moscow project.


The media picked up the ball and ran with it, hammering the impeachment angle repeatedly as Nancy Pelosi seethed over her foreign junket being canceled but on Friday evening, a rare statement out of chief inquisitor Robert Mueller’s office (likely approved Mueller himself) blew a smoking hole in the BuzzFeed piece and its inaccuracies.

 

It was as though all of the air was immediately sucked out of the balloon and the flummoxed media didn’t know what hit them.


This was especially the case at CNN where the first signs that the Resistance could turn on Saint Mueller himself began to manifest themselves. The brother of New York’s radical socialist governor who happens to be one of CNN’s leading personalities bemoaned the charred remains of the BuzzFeed story.

CNN anchor Chris Cuomo said Special Counsel Robert Mueller “didn’t do the media any favors tonight” and handed President Donald Trump a gift when his office refuted a BuzzFeed News report implicating Trump in a felony.

 

BuzzFeed reported Thursday that Trump had directed longtime attorney Michael Cohen to lie to Congress, citing two anonymous sources in law enforcement, leading Democrats to say it would be grounds for impeachment if true. However, a spokesman for Mueller’s office said in a statement the report was “not accurate.”

Discussing the developments with former Obama solicitor general Neal Katyal, Cuomo sounded annoyed.

“Mueller didn’t do the  media any favors tonight, and he did do the president one, because as you saw with Rudy Giuliani and as I’m sure you’ll see with the president himself, this allows them to say, ‘You can’t believe it. You can’t believe what you read, you can’t believe what you hear, you can only believe us,'” he said. “‘Even the special counsel says that the media doesn’t get it right.'”

 

Spoken like a true political hack and it’s just another example of the dishonesty of the fake news media that a disclaimer identifying who Cuomo’s brother is isn’t provided to viewers who otherwise are misled into believing that the guy doesn’t have an agenda.
