X-37B the MYSTERIOUS US military spaceplane set for third flight
A notoriously mysterious military
spaceplane operated by the US Air Force is expected to launch for the third time
from Florida on Tuesday.
The reusable, unmanned craft is designed to operate in Earth orbit for
extended periods; its prior missions in 2010 and 2011 lasted 224 and 469
days.
The US government has been resolutely quiet about its precise purpose, and
would not confirm a launch time.
