US public transport systems are being equipped with audio recording devices, to boost the security of passengers.

The multi-million dollar upgrade is underway in several US cities, including San Francisco and Baltimore.

Reporter Michael Brick, says despite the seemingly good cause, the new technology sparks all kinds of privacy concerns.
