President Bush spoke at the Desert Town Hall speaker series in Southern California yesterday and banned all media from covering the event.

The former president even barred representatives from two of the events’ sponsors, a local CBS affiliate and The Desert Sun, who were scheduled to moderate the question and answer period.

A Desert Town Hall official said he didn’t recall such a request being made by any of the event’s previous speakers, which have included Tony Blair, ret. Gen. Colin Powell, and Condoleezza Rice.

There are still 170 detainees left in this offshore prison. The American public seems unwilling to allow a fair trial for any of them, instead exposing them to military tribunals.

The American public doesn't seem willing to place any of them found guilty in prisons where they would have the same rights as serial killers. To me it looks as if the terrorists have succeeded in showing how military might trumps justice.

Speaking at their home in Wasilla, Alaska, the couple claimed that Palin and "her whole family" had been the target of threats.

Bed bug detection dogs are specially trained by handlers to identify the scent of bed bugs.

Dogs smell in parts per trillion, something a human cannot do, and detect bed bugs through all life cycle phases from eggs to nymphs to adults.

Bed bug detection dogs are relatively new.

The National Entomology Scent Detection Canine Association, states that there are over 100 dogs currently working in the U.S., but this number is increasing, while the International Forensic Detection Canine Association, based in the US, estimates well over 200 and counting.

Bed bug detection is complicated by the fact that the insects can hide almost anywhere. Bed bug detection dogs solve this problem because they are small and agile, finding bugs in places humans cannot such as wall voids, crevices and furniture gaps.

Reacting to public outcry over the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and their recently updated airport screening requirements, Texas state Rep. David Simpson (R) introduced a bill that would aim criminal penalties at agents who get a little too touchy with passengers.

According to a recent report in Tablet Magazine, Premiere Radio Networks, a subsidiary of Clear Channel Communications, hired actors to call in as guests.

It took them forty to fifty years to recover, but in 1995 they started their comeback.

In 2004, there were 82 instances of bed bugs in New York, but only five years later, in 2009, that figure had mushroomed to 10,985.
