Sick: Epstein Reportedly Bragged of Receiving Three Poor, Young French Girls as Birthday 'Gift'

Just your occasional reminder that no matter what actually happened to him, this dirtbag degenerate got off easy.

According to a key witness -- who is making all sorts of lurid and sordid claims, implicating a number of wealthy and powerful men -- Epstein once boasted of receiving three indigent 12-year-old French girls as a birthday "gift." As she tells it, the trio was somehow procured by a rich friend and flown to New York, where they were promptly molested by Epstein, then sent home. Just hideous:

Jeffrey Epstein once had three 12-year-old girls from poor families flown in from France as a sick birthday present for himself, according to newly unearthed court documents. Virginia Giuffre — who has claimed Epstein and his gal pal Ghislaine Maxwell coerced her into being a "sex slave" when she was 15 — said in court papers that the girls who were flown in were molested by the financier and returned to France the following day. "The worst one that I heard from his own mouth was this pretty 12 year old girls he had flown in for his birthday," she said, according to the document. "It was a surprise birthday gift from one of his friends and they were from France. I did see them, I did meet them," she said. She said they were a gift from Epstein’s acquaintance Jean-Luc Brunel, a model scout, according to the Daily Mail. "Jeffrey bragged afterwards after he met them that they were 12-year-olds and flown over from France because they’re really poor over there, and their parents needed the money or whatever the case is and they were absolutely free to stay and flew out."

This accusation comes on the heels of a stretch of news cycles in which the Medical Examiner formally ruled Epstein's death a suicide, several top federal prison officials were fired or reassigned, and details like this have emerged:

Jeffrey Epstein signed his will just two days before he hanged himself in his Manhattan jail cell — leaving behind a nearly $600 million fortune, according to court papers exclusively obtained by The Post on Monday. The court document, filed in the US Virgin Islands, where the convicted sex molester owned two isles — including one that locals dubbed "Pedophile Island’’ — was filed Aug. 8. The 66-year-old former hedge-fund manager was worth $577,672,654, or about $18 million more than he previously stated in court papers while futilely trying to land bail on federal sex-trafficking charges, the new documents show. He put all of his holdings in a trust, called The 1953 Trust, after the year he was born..."What is more unusual is the date, the fact that all of this was done just days before he died,’’ said the source, who asked to remain anonymous. "He could have thought, ‘I need to get my ducks in a row.’ "

Allahpundit is exactly right that Epstein's previous apparent suicide attempt, plus this glaring "getting his affairs in order" maneuver, plus his conspicuously waning morale, should have added up to a major red flag that the guy was a serious suicide risk. He should have been on suicide watch; he wasn't. One of many giant failures, missed signals, or non-coincidental "coincidences" and mysteries that led up to his apparently self-inflicted demise (his lawyers aren't buying the ME's ruling, for what it's worth, and it's true that some very powerful people likely wanted him dead). Some people are speculating that Epstein ordered all of his wealth transferred to a trust upon his death in order to make it difficult for victims to obtain financial restitution for his predations, a final act of attempted victimization. But if that was indeed his goal, it's unlikely to succeed, thankfully:

While Mr. Epstein bequeathed his entire fortune to The 1953 Trust and its unidentified trustees, the future of his wealth remains in limbo. One of Mr. Epstein’s accusers, Jennifer Araoz, sued his estate last week, and his wealth may not be able to pass into the trust until that suit is resolved. More lawsuits also are expected. "The assets of the will cannot be distributed to any beneficiaries, including a trust, until any creditors, including victims who are owed damages or restitution, have collected what they are owed," Mr. Goodman said. "Who determines what they are owed is a court of law."

Parting thought: Who is bequeathed one of Epstein's prized possessions?

UPDATE - This is just disgusting and outrageous enough to ring very, very true. Quote: "If true, it happened as he was being monitored by Palm Beach deputies in plainclothes. Epstein paid the deputies to work as his security detail, and they filed daily reports on the comings and goings at his office — records that have since been destroyed:"

More: "'Jeffrey Epstein, through his brazen and powerful organization, was quite literally able to commit federal sex trafficking offenses at his work release office, during his jail sentence,' according to the lawsuit." What a disgrace, from top to bottom. Will this woman be held accountable, or will we manage to screw that up, too?
