Father keeps offspring inside of the country.
A 49-year-old sperm donor has won a case with Australia’s High Court which recently ruled the man is the legal father of a child produced from sperm he donated in 2009.
“The man, who was given the court pseudonym of Robert Masson for privacy reasons, had fought a long legal fight battle for parenting recognition and to prevent the girl’s biological mother and her same-sex partner from moving to New Zealand with the child,” reports the Telegraph. “The High Court decision reaffirms an earlier ruling that ordered the couple and the girl to stay in Australia and consult Mr Masson on major parenting matters.”
The new ruling could affect thousands of other people, as the report points out.
