Ilhan Omar represents Hamas in Congress? Laurie Cardoza-Moore makes claim

Laurie Cardoza-Moore, founder of Proclaiming Justice to the Nations, has accused Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-MN) of being a "Hamas plant" in Congress.

"Ilhan Omar covertly represents Hamas in the US Congress. We need to act now before this blows up in our faces," she said in a statement.

Cardoza-Moore made the comments after it was reported that Omar will speak in March at the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) fund-raiser in Los Angeles.

CAIR is known for supporting terrorist organizations that have acted against Israel and the United States, including Hamas and Hezbollah.

FBI investigators uncovered evidence establishing CAIR’s place in the "Palestine Committee," which was a Muslim Brotherhood-created network aimed at helping Hamas in the United States, according to a report by the Investigative Project on Terrorism. In 2009, US District Court Judge Jorge Solis ruled that there is "at least a prima facie case as to CAIR’s involvement in a conspiracy to support Hamas."

Moreover, the group was officially designated a terrorist organization by the United Arab Emirates in 2014, placing it in the company of al-Qaeda, Islamic State and others.

"CAIR and Hamas are one in the same," Cardoza-Moore claimed. "Ilhan Omar openly fund-raising for CAIR means she is not just a rabid antisemite, but a real threat to our national security."

Earlier this month, after Omar tweeted what was considered by politicians and leaders on both sides of the aisle to be an antisemitic statement, Cardoza-Moore launched a petition to oust the Islamic congresswoman from office. So far, thousands of Americans have signed the petition.

Cardoza-Moore said that PJTN, a 501c3 nonprofit that was established to educate Christians about their "biblical responsibility to stand with their Jewish brethren and Israel," would continue to "wage our national campaign to unite American patriots against this dangerous phenomenon.

"We the people demand that members of a subversive antisemitic organization, with close ties to terrorist groups, not be made welcome in our Congress," she continued.

After Omar tweeted her antisemitic comment accusing AIPAC of paying politicians to support Israel, she issued an apology. However, many politicians and Jewish leaders considered her retraction inauthentic. President Donald Trump called on Omar to resign.

Then, days later, Omar again came under fire for agreeing to speak at an Islamic Relief USA event alongside Yousef Abdallah, who has advocated for violence against Jews and expressed antisemitic sentiments on his social media pages. But, as media reports surfaced, Abdallah’s name was removed from publicity for the event.

The CAIR talk, scheduled for March 23, is the latest in the controversy surrounding Omar. Hassan Shibly, the chief executive director for CAIR-Florida, will also be speaking at the event. Shibly has stated that Hezbollah and Hamas are not terrorist organizations, according to multiple reports.

Furthermore, a CAIR representative defended Omar’s antisemitic tweet.

According to the website Citizen Truth, Robert McCaw, director of government affairs for CAIR, said that the organization does not see Omar’s pointing an accusatory finger at the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) as antisemitic, adding that the organization is paying politicians to be pro-Israel.

"CAIR supports Representative Omar and her efforts to highlight the lobbying efforts of [AIPAC]," McCaw commented. "CAIR does not feel there was any antisemitic meaning in her tweet, but due to the brevity some took it as such."
