Rookie Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was literally crying during a press conference as she talked about President Donald Trump and her lust to defund the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).The self-proclaimed ‘Alex from the Bronx’ and democratic socialist was participating in an event held by MoveOn.org and was putting her morals over facts when she claimed that abolishing or defunding ICE is “one of the more urgent moral issues and crises that we have in America right now.”
Ocasio-Cortez also tried to claim that President Trump “does not like any form of immigration” even though the commander-in-chief just held a historic State of the Union address that unified Republicans and Democrats who both chanted USA while applauding, not to mention Trump’s 75% approval rate and desire to protect legal immigrants while enforcing tough immigration laws.
Trump made several points during his SOTU this week that stressed his concerns for illegal immigration, with the operative word being “illegal.”
Regardless of everything the president has stated about immigration and the objective of lowering illegal immigration, while supporting legal immigrants – it was Ocasio-Cortez who was seen wiping a shallow tear from her right cheek as she talked about it.
Ocasio-Cortez politicized the passing away of a child who was lost in December whose father brought her and “160 other illegal immigrants across the southern U.S. border into New Mexico” according to a report by the Daily Mail. The child’s name is Jakelin Caal Maquin and she was unable to be saved when she was first noticed to be in need of medical attention, but ICE officers lacked the personnel to do so.
“ICE officers apprehended the group, but lacked medical support personnel in the remote border region. Severely dehydrated, Caal died after a 90-minute bus trip to a border station and a life flight to El Paso, Texas.”
Ocasio-Cortez is acting angry towards President Trump, wants to defund ICE, and does not appear to be thinking logically or factually, but instead is allowing her emotions and feelings to overpower her thought process.
Her response to Trump’s SOTU was odd as well, with her stating things that didn’t make much sense, as if she didn’t pay attention to anything Trump said even though she sat there in the crowd during the entire event.
It wasn’t just Ocasio-Cortez shedding tears, but Rep. Rashida Tlaib did too. She is best remembered for her childish outburst calling President Trump a “motherf-cker” after she was sworn into Congress.
She stated she wanted to impeach the president and added the expletive to her statement, then was immediately criticized for her lack of professionalism as she started her new job in government.
Ocasio-Cortez continued with her shenanigans, stating that “We are standing on native land and Latino people are descendants of native people. And we cannot be told, and criminalized, simply because for our identity or our status.
We’re here to say that an agency like ICE, which repeatedly and systematically violates human rights, does not deserve a dime. They do not deserve a dime.”
It should be noted that federal agencies made the largest fentanyl bust in American history last week, seizing 254 pounds of that, and 395 pounds of methamphetamine.
