The sunshine fruit... but only if you like it frozen: Icicles in Florida's orange groves

Temperatures in major crop-growing areas dipped well below zero on Tuesday night, and farmers awoke yesterday to find icicles hanging from their delicate crops.

Growers sprayed water on to their fruit in an effort to keep it above 0 degrees celsius and salvage millions of dollars worth of produce.

It's going to be 75 here today. Go figure.

BTW, they take those "frozen" oranges and make concentrate out of them. Not really a loss.
